Observatory Surveys
The DogsHeaven Observatory X87 conducts systematic sky surveys focused on the detection of transient astronomical events and the precise monitoring of variable stars.
Supernova Search
Our primary survey project involves high-cadence imaging of nearby galaxies to identify early-stage supernovae. By catching these events within hours of explosion, we provide critical data for the international astronomical community.
Spectroscopic Monitoring
In addition to imaging, our survey utilizes spectroscopy to classify transient candidates and monitor the behavior of active stars, ensuring a comprehensive data set for our ongoing research.
Occultation Campaigns
We participate in systematic surveys of stellar occultations by minor planets and TNOs, contributing to high-precision diameter measurements of solar system bodies.
